Two of the following improvisations for piano previously appeared in a heavily processed, redacted, and mutated form for the recording Territory of the Nine Pollutants. I am presenting them here untreated after revisiting the recordings after a period of ten years.

The title Trois Esquisses is inspired by composer Charles-Valentin Alkan, who composed a series of 49 Esquisses.
